About This League
Stonewall Bowling SLC
Welcome to Stonewall Bowling Salt Lake City — one social league, one great night a week, and a whole lot of fun. Games run on Wednesdays from 6:00–9:00 PM at The Union Bowling Alley on the University of Utah campus, with the kickoff night starting at 5:30 PM.
The league runs for 8 weeks, with 24–30 teams of 6 players each. Our primary focus is on having fun. If you're new to some bowling terminology, don't worry — our league leadership is always available to answer questions. And if you don't have a team yet, register as a Free Agent and we'll find you a spot.
⚡ Eligibility & Format
- Open to all — LGBTQ+ players and allies welcome
- One recreational/social league — all skill levels
- Teams of 6 players; minimum 4 registered to form an official team
- $60 per player — includes T-shirt, liability insurance, and league fees
- Dry venue — The Union is on the U of U campus; no alcohol on premises
How It Works
League Format & Scoring
Each team completes a full 10 frames per game. Only the top three scores from each team are tallied to determine that team's score for the night.
Attendance Rules
- At least 2 team members must be present at the start of the game — otherwise the game is forfeited
- If a third player is absent, their score for the night is recorded as zero when calculating the team's weekly total
- Substitutions are not allowed in place of an absent bowler
- If fewer than three bowlers attend, their average for that night will be calculated as 10 pins lower than their actual average

How to Sign Up
👑 Captain — Starting a team
- Register as Captain first, then have your players register under your team name
- You need at least 4 registered players to be recognized as an official team
- Incomplete teams (fewer than 6) may be asked to add free agents — this is a social league and we want to give as many people as possible a spot to play
🤝 Team Player — Joining a known team
- Register as a Team Player and join your captain's team
- If you want to play with someone but don't have a full team, register as part of a Small Group — you'll be placed with other players to fill out a team
🙋 Free Agent — No team yet
- Register as a Free Agent
- We'll place you on an existing open team or pair you with other free agents to form a new team
- This league is all about making new friends — you're in the right place
